Course Introduction

B.Com is an undergraduate course offering a conceptual understanding in Accounting, Economics, Business Law, Taxation, Insurance and Management. It is a three year Undergraduate programme in the field of commerce. B.Com opens the doors to career opportunities like Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Work Accountancy (CWA), Insurance & Banking services. A background in commerce aids in setting the stage for a successful career. B.Com degree familiarises with the financial foundations of the company. Bachelor of Commerce degree also gives a solid foundation in core financial matters.

B Com Finance and Taxation.

Commerce and industry are the pillars of any developing economy. The objective of this course is to make one familiar with the different functional areas of business and various sectors of the industry. Through this programme, a student gains comprehensive view of the functioning of an organisation and also cultivates good communication skills. Apart from regular studies in various aspects of business such as Finance, Marketing, Business laws etc. the students also undergo training in various fields such as finance, accounts etc.

Eligibility

Candidates shall be required to have passed the Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by MG University with Book-Keeping and Accountancy and any two of the following subjects, viz., (1) Commerce  (2) Commercial Correspondence and Commercial Geography  (3) Economics  (4) Life Insurance with Salesmanship  (5) Banking with Secretarial Practice  (6) Business Studies  (7) Mathematics  (8) Computer Science/ Computer applications (9) Informatics Practice& Management , (10) Informatics Practice ,  (11) Management, (12) Accountancy as optional under Part III of the Examination.

OR

Have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by this University with other subjects under Part III optional subjects provided they have secured 45% of the aggregate marks.
